Tweedy Hill Farm
A traditional Cumbrian smallholding with rare and native livetock..
Tweedy Hill Farm
Our
Environment
Tweedy Hill Farm is a traditional Cumbrian smallholding part of the house dates to at least 1603. It is in North Cumbria near Hadrians Wall. The land is marginal surrounded by dry stone walls.
Our Animals
Our Dales ponies prefix Tweedyhill live out all year round. There are stables available but the ponies grow thick coats in the winter months and enjoy the free lifestyle. The sheep we have are Kerry Hill and Shetlands which are native breeds, they produce wonderful meat and have excellent fleeces. Sue spins some of the fleeces for various projects.
